The Town of Bogue is asking the Carteret County Commissioners to change the tax distribution from ad valorem levies to per capita; that could mean our town would get a more equitable amount of the sales tax money that the county receives. The County Commissioners have their next regular meeting March 15th at 6:00 pm in the Commissioners boardroom at 302 Courthouse Square in Beaufort.
